Valentine's Card

Unfortunately I’m on a business travel spending Valentine’s Day far away from DD and DH. This is what I left at home along with some presents. (It’s a Valentines card with a picture on, and it’s a little bit inspired by art journaling… That is, the white that is visible behind the card is NOT part of what I have created and this is NOT a layout with a white background. Got it? ;)).
The background is made with Distress Ink, gesso, Glimmer mist and acrylic paint. (I counted to seven different layers… which means a lot of fun ;)) I also did some fuzzy cutting, handmade flowers, painted some flowers, and added some stickers. The metal brick is from Tim Holtz and it says LOVE. So the text in the bottom right says “Love you forever”… The heart that is hanging in a twine is a chipboard that I decorated with ink in bronze and some stamps.
I realize now that you can’t see how it all shimmers in the picture, but both the background and the flowers shimmer (Glimmer mist and Distress Stickles…
Thanks for looking! I hope you all have / had a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
