This layout is made for the ongoing challenge at Scrap the Girls. The challenge is to use the following quote somewhere on the layout:
Children need love, especially when they do not deserve it. ~Harold Hulbert
This is my take on the challenge:
The picture is on our daughter and her grandmother (my husband’s mother). I just love the expression on her face! There is so much love in it! Even if our daughter is screaming so that her ears hurt you can still see that love! I thought the picture was suitable for the challenge – but I had a hard time because of the colors on the picture (milky red, beige, brown, demin, light yellow and turquoise…).
I choose to use a paper from Bo Bunny’s new Et Cetera collection as a background. I colored it up a little bit extra with pink, blue and green ink. I also wanted the background to shimmer so I pained it with Distress Stickles. The flowers on the background are made with a mask and copper ink. I finally splattered some gold mist.

ReplyDeleteThis is super, Helene. I think you've done a great job matching the papers with the colours in your photo. the two lots of stripes in the heart and clothes really draws your eye to the photo.
ReplyDeleteLovely page! I love the extra texture you added to the background!
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing at STG :).
