Doll’s house

This layout is made for August challenge at ARTastic. The challenge is to get inspired by the painting ‘The Playing Claude Renoir’ by Auguste Renoir. To get some extra bonus points you should also include ribbon, a picture of a child playing and paint on the background (or create your own background). Sounds like most of my layouts, isn’t it? But it’s not a color combo that I usually use. And actually I had to struggle to find a suitable motif as our daughter not often plays this kind of calm games…

Our daughter got this doll’s house as a Christmas present last Christmas. I renovated it myself using patterned scrapbooking paper both as wallpaper and floor. If you want to have a look at the blog post about the doll’s house, please click here:)

The background is decorated with yellow and nougat mist, some ink and a mask, and finally some splashed acrylic paint in two different colors.

The picture below shows the ribbon and some different embellishments.

Thank you SO much for looking!!!

  10. BEATIFUL!!! It shows you really took inspiration from the painting, which is awesome! Most people (including me), normally just follow the criteria. Anyway, I love your LO, it turned out very pretty!
