Santa Claus

Today I want to share another layout that I made for Allt Om Scrap’s December Daily. The word is Santa and the picture is from last year. DD was a bit afraid of Santa and she didn’t want to go and get the presents alone. I tried to take a picture where you could not see that but it failed. But now I think it’s so cute that you can see that she is holding her daddy’s hand. :)
Here’s a close up:
Don't forget I'm having a giveaway. Go here if you haven't joined in yet!

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!! Take care!!!

Two Christmas layouts

I want to share two more layouts that I did for Allt Om Scrap's December Daily. The first one is for the word “Wish list”.  DD has made a wish list for Santa this year and she takes it really seriously. She put a lot of effort in it and she has both written and glued pictures. After we “mailed” it to Santa she came up with one more thing and she was really concerned that it was not on the list… Ha, ha, it’s so cute. (I told her that I think Santa might be able to read her thoughts...) :)
I used mist, Pan Pastel and acrylic paint on the background. I also used Momas gorgeous “Christmas stamp”. I also wrote everything that DD wishes for Christmas on the “list” on the background paper as I think it's fun to save for the future.

The second layout is for the word “Trees”. The picture is taken last year when DD was three years old. She played a lot with her dolls and of course she helped them to dance around the Christmas tree.
On the background I used acrylic paint and a Cristmas tree stamp. The small trees are mistables.
Thanks for looking!! Take care!

Saint Lucia

Yesterday we were celebrating Saint Lucia in Sweden. And Saint Lucia is also the word of yesterday’s December Daily at Allt Om Scrap.
Since our daughter is celebrating Saint Lucia outdoors I wanted a wintery feeling on the layout. I thought that stars and gold suited the theme so I added some stars that I cut out from different patterned papers and splashed on some acrylic paint in gold. I also doodled some stars on the background.
And a close-up:
Thanks for looking!! If you are interested in taking part of Allt Om Scrap's December Daily look here and here. And if you want to join my giveaway go here. Have  nice weekend!!

AJ, scraplift and a giveaway

I have tree messages today.
First I want to share an Art Journal page (AJ) I did for Christmas Daily at Allt Om Scrap. The word was “red, red, red” and this is what I did:
I used Pan Pastel, Dylusion Ink Spray, Gesso and a stamp from Momas lil’ shop of stamps. I used the one called “Julstjärna med mistel och julros” and I think it’s gorgeous to use like this. Actually I did the same on a layout today and I almost never do the same thing twice… :) The text says that “Christmas is in the air”. (Like “love is in the air, you know…) Here’s a close up:
The second thing I want to tell you is that one of my layouts has been scraplifted at Swe Scrapbook. You can join in and scraplift it too if you want, and you have until next Saturday to do it. This is the layout they have chosen and I really recommend you to go there and have a look at the DT layouts because they are SO inspiring! And I really mean that. :)
The third thing is that I celebrate this with a giveaway! So if you want to have a chance to win, make sure you are a follower of my blog and write a comment on this post. I’ll be happy if you spread the word, but you don’t have to. This is what you have a chance to win:
And a close-up of some of the goodies:

Have a nice week! Thanks for popping by!!!

All I want for Christmas…

Here’s my take on the December challenge at Kraft It Up!
So what’s the challenge?
Heading towards Christmas, I would like to see a layout about what YOU want for Christmas. Now this doesn’t necessarily mean presents, it could mean want you want to experience with your family or where you might like to go etc...
The photo shows me, DH and DD. It’s taken with my I Pad and we look really crazy on it. And that’s what I want… to spend time together being happy and crazy…
On the background I used modeling paste to make some texture. I then colored the textured dots with Distress Ink in different colors. I also did some stamping and splashed on acrylic paint. The poinsettia is a stamp from  Momas lil’shop of stamps. I only colored part of it as I thought that made the effect I wanted.
Momas have a lot of awesome stamps in their own style. They look gorgeous if you color them nicely but they work just as well if you want to use them in mixed media!
Thanks for looking! Don't forget December Daily at Allt Om Scrap!

Large, bold patterns at ARTastic!

Here’s my CT-layout for ARTastic this month:
The challenge is to get inspired by this artwork by canvas and body artist Emma Hack. This month criterion is to “go wild with large bold patterns”. You can use patterned paper or paint – it’s your choice.

I sprayed some ink over a mask that was actually some kind of metal decoration not made for scrapbooking. I then used Pan Pastel to color both inside and outside the “branch”. Finally I cut out and fastened some “leaves” using different patterned papers.
Here are some close-ups:

The story says that DD like to pose with different crazy expressions (photos top left). One day I asked her if she couldn’t have a cute expression – and she could (bottom right). But I immediately regret it because I think she is much cuter with those expressions that come spontaneously from her.
Thanks for looking!!! Have a nice week!

Two layouts, one Christmas card and a winner

I forgot to show you my contributions to the last issue of Allt Om Scrap. So here they are…

I start with the Christmas card. I’m not much of a card maker so this year I decided to make all our Christmas cards exactly the same… This is what it looks like. If you open it there’s a photo of DD inside and our personal Christmas greetings.

This layout is made on the theme “weather”. My layout is about frost and I picked colors, patterned papers, and embellishments to match the theme. The color scheme differs from what I usually do but the techniques are just the same.

The last layout is made on the theme “multiple photos”. I used five different photos to show the story of DD going round and round on that carousel trying all the different vehicles at least one time… I wanted the layout to have a crazy feeling so I used a lot of mist, gesso and acrylic paint.

And finally the winner of my giveaway...

It's Sara (Snorsk)!!! Congrats! Could you please e-mail me your address and I will send it to you.

Thanks for looking!!! Take care!
