This layout is a DT-layout for Scrap The Girls. I found this sketch quite challenging but I was quite satisfied with the final result. The photo shows DD hugging grandpa.
I used some water colour and neon yellow paint on the background. The horizontal lines on the sketch turned into triangles and some black "lines".

Rainy midsummer
July’s challenge at ARTastic
is to get inspired by Shirley Charlton’s (aka
Shirlroma) painting "Umbrellas, wet street". The criteria is to use water (liquid) in some way on your
page (ink spray, gelatos, paper crumple, watered down paint, make handmade
flowers etc). I used watercolour on my background and patterned papers with watercolour
pattern.

I also have a “water theme” on the layout (not requested). The photos are taken on our national holiday midsummer. We celebrate the day outdoors dancing traditional dances around a maypole. This year it was raining cats and dogs… DD even had to wear her midsummer wreath over her raincoat.

Circus Fantastico
Before showing this month's DT-layouts I want to show you a layout that I made for Let's Get Sketchy's June challenge week 3 (deadline July 5th). I followed the sketch quite closely, but it might be hard to see at first sight.
Thanks for watching! Take care!
In my interpretation the flowers on both sides of the photo turned into different circus figures and the circles turned into an elephant. I kept the lines underneath the photo and the title is at the "right" Place.
