Playing silly

I had some PP from Lily Bee that I realy love and wanted to make something nice with. So I popped over to Lily Bee’s blog and found this inspiring sketch! This is my take on it:
All the papers are Lily Bee’s Head over Heels. I just added a chipboard, some flowers and loads of paint!

I really enjoyed working with patterned paper and paint in this particular way, so I will definitely do that again!
(The blue and yellow flowers are part of a DT-present from Jane Howden at ARTastic. Thank you SO much, Jane!!!)
Thank you SO much for looking!!! Have a nice day!

So happy to be with you

When I saw this text sticker by Basic Grey I immediately thought of this picture of me and DD. And when I saw this month’s inspiration picture at Mollys Scrapbooking I came up with this idea:

I wanted to use a lot of hearts so I made some butterflies with two heart shaped dies. (No, I didn’t get enough of either love or hearts in February…) The background is decorated with gesso and acrylic paint – using different techniques.

The banner is made of braided twines and a patterned paper from Basic Grey.

Thank you SO much for stopping by and leaving comments! You’re the best!!!

By the way… I’m featured on The Color Room this week! That too makes me incredibly happy ;) LOL!

A wonderful day!

This LO is made for March Challenge at Scrap Perra. The challenge is to use black, white and one more color. I chose greyish purple as I thought that would bring out the cold and warm colors in the picture.

As usual I used a lot of gesso and acrylic paint on the background (with different techniques). I used white to create a feeling of snow and the greyish purple to capture the colors in the ice. (Black is found on the frame around the LO and in the twine. I also used some black paint.) Here’s some close ups:

Thanks for popping by and leaving comments! It really makes my day!

More fun together

March challenge at Kraft it up! Is a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 challenge. The LO should contain:

1 = Piece of Kraft Cardstock or Patterned Paper
2 = Photos of any size
3 = Three word title
4 = different pieces of patterned paper
5 = different embellishments

I hope this background paper will be considered as a “kraft patterned paper”. I had an idea to color some of the pattern on the background paper to make it part of the decoration. This is how it turned out:

I used ProMarkers to fill in the pattern. I also used some gesso and acrylic paint on the background.

This picture shows tree of the five demanded embellishments – butterflies, a die cut with text, and tape. (I also used some brads and a button). The patterned papers are framing the pictures – and one of them is part of the butterflies. The butterflies are made of patterned paper cut with a die, feathers (I thought it was fun as the girls use feathers when crafting on the pictures), and black pearls.
Thanks for looking! I hope you enjoyed it!!!

Our paradise

There’s a new challenge up at ARTastic! This month you should be inspired by a painting by Ken Done called Chinamen’s Beach. You should also add palm trees or palm leaves, a picture taken on the beach and 2-3 beach embellishments. Here’s my take on the challenge:

And here's some close ups:

Thanks for looking!!! I would love to see you play along!
