Sweet

Today I want to show you a layout that I made for Allt Om Scrap. It’s a bit different from what I usually do and that’s because it’s a scrap lift. The team was asked to scrap lift Janna Werner and I wanted to catch the feeling in her layouts but yet do it my way. Here's my interpretation:

And here's Janna Werner's layout that I scrap lifted:
Thanks for looking! Have a wonderful week!!

Those I love

There’s a new challenge up at Punky Scraps! Nat writes: “It's the month of love so let's go with it this year......pink, flowers and butterflies with a vintage twinge.” There are two different pictures to be inspired by. I chose the first one – for “the arty amongst you”. I LOVED that picture so my interpretation is quite close to the inspiration piece. I just had to find out if I could do anything like it – and yet make it look like a layout.
And here’s the amazing inspiration picture:
The background is made using Dylusion Ink Spray. I stamped some flowers and doodled some diamond shapes to make it more interesting. The butterflies are chipboards colored with Dylusion Ink Spray to fit the background. To highlight the photo I put two different kind of punchinella behind it. The one with dots is orange and the one with hearts is cerise, but it’s hard to show in a photo…
I really enjoyed doing this!! I hope to see you play along!!! Take care! :)

A Valentine layout for DD

DD asked me the other day if I could create a layout for her as a Valentine’s Gift. Of course I wanted to! :) That’s the reason why I chose a photo of both of us. I also wanted to create something that I know that she likes. She loves when I spray different shapes and when I splash colors so of course I did that. She also loves when it’s happy and colorful.
To create the hearts Iused a toilet paper roll that I bend to the shape of a heart.
There’s a love theme over at Allt Om Scrap today and I show this layout over there too. I really recommend you to go here to find some awesome Valentine inspiration!
Thanks for looking! I hope you will all have a wonderful Valentine's Day on Thursday!

A summery layout for ARTastic

The inspiration piece at ARTastic this month is a painting by Charles Meere called Australian Beach Pattern. Here’s my take on the challenge:

Maybe it’s a bit too much of everything but I couldn’t help myself. It was SO fun to pick up a photo from last summer and scrap a summery layout in the middle of the long, dark and cold winter! (When I did the layout it was -20 Celsius degrees over here - and we were NOT eating ice cream on the beach…). :)
I used gesso, acrylic paint and some stamps on the background. And there are a lot of summery details – flowers, strawberries, flies, bottle caps and ice cream brads…
Mmm… I long for a warm day at the beach…
Thanks for looking!! I hope to see your interpretation over at ARTastic!!!
Take care!!

The day after...

There’s a new challenge up at Kraft It Up! This month you are supposed to use stickers on your layout! I haven’t used any stickers lately so this was fun to me! :)
This photo was taken the day after Christmas. (Santa Claus visits us on the 24th so I finally got some use of embellishments with the number of 25). When DD woke up to all the new toys that were waiting for her all over the house she was SO happy. I got the feeling that this might be even better than Christmas Eve and that’s what the layout is about.
The flowers, some of the stripes and the alphas are stickers.
I also want to share the news that I was asked to pick my three favorite layouts and write some words about some different techniques that I have used over at Svensk Scrapbooking. I'm very honored and I really recommend you to hang around over there!!! If you want to have a look at my favorites you can go over here.
Thanks for popping by! Take care!!

Like a cave

This layout is made for Scrap Friends Sketch Challenge # 9. It’s the first time I’m entering a challenge there but this fun and original sketch caught my eye.
The picture is taken in our garden a couple of weeks ago when we were out sledding – even though it was a snowstorm. We found a place in our garden that was like a cave under a huge bush (Microbiota decussata). It was warm, calm and quiet. DD wanted to stay there and I gave her some chocolate chunks in a bowl to eat. But some snow fell from the “roof” right into the bowl and covered the chocolate. It’s a little thing, but it’s fun to remember. :)
To make the chevron pattern on the sketch I choose some PP that I wanted to use both sides of. I cut some stripes and folded them.
Thanks for looking! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!!!

Gymnastics

I forgot to show this layout here at my blog! It was shown last Sunday at Allt Om Scrap. As I told you before I wrote an article about this year’s CHA trends that was published last Sunday. At the same time we had a challenge that included some of the trends we identified. This is my contribution:

Cuddly toys safari

Another layout for a challenge... This time it’s for a sketch challenge at Svensk Scrapbooking. The photos are taken at DD’s birthday party last autumn. The weather was perfect that day and I arranged a "cuddly toys safari" in the garden with a candy bag as a prize for each one of the children. :)

And a close-up:

I Pad

This layout is made for a challenge at Mollys scrapbooking. It’s a sketch challenge and I thought it was a great sketch as you could do a lot with it.

I used Pan Pastel and acrylic paint on the background. I also used some stamps and splashed on some Dylusion Ink Spray.

The pieces of puzzle are made with a punch that I bought the other day after I wrote the article about the new CHA trends that is published at Allt Om Scrap today. It’s an issue filled with trends and I recommend you to go over there and have a look!
Thanks for looking! Take care!

Sledding

This is a layout that I made for a sketch challenge at Allt Om Scrap. I thought the patterns on the sketch looked like snowflakes so I took the opportunity to scrap a picture of DD and DH when they went sledding.

I turned the sketch to make it fit with my pictures (I used two pictures instead of one). As I stood at the same place when I shot the pictures they fit together “as one”.

I used three types of snowflakes – gesso on a template, a stamp and brads. I also used some fab punchinella from Gauche Alchemy. I tried to shot a close-up to show you the way it change color.

Thanks for looking! Have a nice weekend! I hope you will find some time to scrap and relax!!

Colour challenge @ KIU

Kraft It Up is having a colour challenge this month. It’s a fabulous combination that is perfect with kraft paper. You can tell by looking at the CT work – it’s really stunning! Here’s my CT sample:

I used some Dylusion Ink Spray and doodled on the background. I also stamped some dots and splashed on acrylic paint in different colours.

Here’s a close up:
Thanks for looking!! I wish you a wonderful week full of crafting! :)

Happy new year to you all!

It’s a new year, and it’s also a new month. That means new challenges and new DT layouts to show. ARTastic have an awesome challenge this month. They also have a new sponsor for domestic participants and are offering a guest DT spot for non Austrian winners. :) What you should do to be a lucky winner is to get inspired by the incredibly 3D chalk art work ‘My Blue Angel’ by Jenny McCracken. The criteria are to use chalk or wings on your layout. Here is my take on the challenge and I used both chalk (Pan Pastel) and wings.
On the background I used Pan Pastel, Distress Ink on a template and splashed some acrylic paint. I also stamped some flowers. I cut two holes in the picture for the wings. My attempt was to create a fantasy garden to go with the wings. :)
Some close-ups:

I haven’t had a lot of time and energy left for scrapbooking and blog hopping recently but I will soon have time to visit you and look at all the gorgeous things you have created. :)
Thanks for looking!!! I wish you all a FABOLOUS 2013!

Santa Claus

Today I want to share another layout that I made for Allt Om Scrap’s December Daily. The word is Santa and the picture is from last year. DD was a bit afraid of Santa and she didn’t want to go and get the presents alone. I tried to take a picture where you could not see that but it failed. But now I think it’s so cute that you can see that she is holding her daddy’s hand. :)
Here’s a close up:
Don't forget I'm having a giveaway. Go here if you haven't joined in yet!

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!! Take care!!!

Two Christmas layouts

I want to share two more layouts that I did for Allt Om Scrap's December Daily. The first one is for the word “Wish list”.  DD has made a wish list for Santa this year and she takes it really seriously. She put a lot of effort in it and she has both written and glued pictures. After we “mailed” it to Santa she came up with one more thing and she was really concerned that it was not on the list… Ha, ha, it’s so cute. (I told her that I think Santa might be able to read her thoughts...) :)
I used mist, Pan Pastel and acrylic paint on the background. I also used Momas gorgeous “Christmas stamp”. I also wrote everything that DD wishes for Christmas on the “list” on the background paper as I think it's fun to save for the future.

The second layout is for the word “Trees”. The picture is taken last year when DD was three years old. She played a lot with her dolls and of course she helped them to dance around the Christmas tree.
On the background I used acrylic paint and a Cristmas tree stamp. The small trees are mistables.
Thanks for looking!! Take care!

Saint Lucia

Yesterday we were celebrating Saint Lucia in Sweden. And Saint Lucia is also the word of yesterday’s December Daily at Allt Om Scrap.
Since our daughter is celebrating Saint Lucia outdoors I wanted a wintery feeling on the layout. I thought that stars and gold suited the theme so I added some stars that I cut out from different patterned papers and splashed on some acrylic paint in gold. I also doodled some stars on the background.
And a close-up:

AJ, scraplift and a giveaway

I have tree messages today.
First I want to share an Art Journal page (AJ) I did for Christmas Daily at Allt Om Scrap. The word was “red, red, red” and this is what I did:
I used Pan Pastel, Dylusion Ink Spray, Gesso and a stamp from Momas lil’ shop of stamps. I used the one called “Julstjärna med mistel och julros” and I think it’s gorgeous to use like this. Actually I did the same on a layout today and I almost never do the same thing twice… :) The text says that “Christmas is in the air”. (Like “love is in the air, you know…) Here’s a close up:
The second thing I want to tell you is that one of my layouts has been scraplifted at Swe Scrapbook. You can join in and scraplift it too if you want, and you have until next Saturday to do it. This is the layout they have chosen and I really recommend you to go there and have a look at the DT layouts because they are SO inspiring! And I really mean that. :)
The third thing is that I celebrate this with a giveaway! So if you want to have a chance to win, make sure you are a follower of my blog and write a comment on this post. I’ll be happy if you spread the word, but you don’t have to. This is what you have a chance to win:
And a close-up of some of the goodies:

Have a nice week! Thanks for popping by!!!
